Mount Dora Craft Fair: Parking, Shuttles & Local Tips
Coming to the Mount Dora Craft Fair? Here’s what to know before you go, from finding parking to making time for downtown shops and restaurants.
2026 visitor information · Updated October 16, 2026
Where to Park for the Mount Dora Craft Fair
Parking is usually the part of the day that needs the most planning. Festival streets are closed to traffic, and parking closest to downtown can fill quickly. Give yourself extra time, especially during peak hours.
Mount Dora Christian Academy
301 W. 13th Avenue, Mount Dora
The organizer lists parking here for $10 per vehicle, with proceeds supporting school programs. Check the organizer’s latest shuttle instructions before you leave.
Mount Dora High School
The organizer says there are no shuttles from the high school. Visitors who park there should expect to walk approximately three blocks to the event.
Don't mistake this for a shuttle pickup location.
Downtown & city parking
Other public parking options may be available around downtown, but expect demand, traffic restrictions and a longer walk. Don't count on finding a space beside the festival.
Accessible parking
The organizer identifies limited accessible parking behind City Hall, 510 N. Baker Street. Availability is limited, particularly during busy times.
The festival does not offer wheelchair or stroller rentals.
Know before you go: Shuttle routes, stops and parking operations can change. The official visitor page is the best last-minute source; don't rely on an old social media map.
What to Expect at the Craft Fair
The annual Craft Fair takes over the streets of historic downtown, with more than 350 exhibitors showcasing handmade goods and art. You'll find everything from jewelry and home décor to pottery, textiles, gifts and more.
Beyond the booths, the organizer lists live music in Donnelly Park, festival food, wine tasting, face painting, henna and a Kids Art Tent sponsored by Mount Dora Center for the Arts. Downtown's independently owned shops are part of the experience, too.
Craft Fair vs. Art Festival: Mount Dora hosts multiple major art and craft events during the year. This guide is for the October Mount Dora Craft Fair, not the February Mount Dora Arts Festival or the spring arts-and-crafts event.
A Few Tips for a Better Festival Day
Start earlier if you can
The organizer notes that mid-afternoon is especially busy. Going closer to opening can make parking and browsing more manageable.
Wear comfortable shoes
The festival spans several downtown streets, and Mount Dora has some hills. Expect to be on your feet and moving between booths.
Bring some cash
Many vendors accept cards, but connectivity can be unpredictable in a crowded event. Having a little cash available is useful.
Think carefully before bringing your dog
Well-behaved pets are permitted, but the organizer strongly encourages leaving them home due to crowds and noise.
Plan for Florida weather
Late October can still be warm. Water, sunscreen and a compact umbrella are good things to have. The event is scheduled rain or shine.
Where to Eat & What Else to Do Downtown
You can easily make lunch or dinner part of your Craft Fair plans, but festival weekends are exceptionally busy. If there's a particular restaurant you want to visit, check its hours and reservation policy in advance.
Find a downtown restaurant
From cafés and pizza to Cuban food, seafood and date-night restaurants, our local guide helps narrow down the options.
