About Palm Island Park

Palm Island Park is one of Mount Dora’s quieter waterfront parks, with a natural setting along Lake Dora and a long wooden boardwalk through native vegetation. It is a good option when you want more of a nature stop than a traditional playground or downtown park.

The park includes picnic pavilions, picnic tables, benches, a fishing pier and walking trails. The boardwalk winds through the wooded area along the lake, which gives the park a very different feel from nearby downtown spaces like Donnelly Park or Sunset Park.

Palm Island Park is also useful if you are planning a picnic or want to spend some time near the water without leaving Mount Dora.
