Harris Chain of Lakes in Lake County, Florida, is a chain of seven lakes that totals approximately 76,000 acres of water. The lakes are connected by canals and include Lake Harris and Little Harris, Dora, Carlton, Beauclair, Eustis and Griffin. These lakes are most popular with boaters and fishermen. The lakes average more than 10 feet in depth and are navigable throughout the year.
The lakes offer a variety of fishing opportunities including bass, catfish, bream (bluegill), crappie and cyprinids. The lakes also offer excellent opportunities for boating, skiing, tubing and for those who are brave enough, swimming. There are several public boat ramps throughout Lake County.
