Join us Sunday, October 29, 2023, at The Tavares History Research Center for an informative discussion celebrating 50 extraordinary individuals and their significant contributions to the development of Tavares, the Lake County seat of government. A presentation by Author & Historian Richard Lee Cronin, Tavares Trailblazers will feature some of the most amazing men and women of the city’s 140 plus years as the county hub. This free event will also be a perfect opportunity to acquaint yourself with the new Tavares History Research Center, a creation of the Tavares Historical Society. The Research Center provides an exceptional atmosphere for those desiring to research individuals as well as local history. Reservations for this free event are encouraged but not required.
The Tavares History Research Center is located at 121 E. Alfred Street, Tavares, and is open 10 AM to 2 PM Tuesdays and Thursdays, or by special appointment.
