This workshop is for grades 6th-12th and is great for the beginner as well as those with more experience/knowledge. Cost is $135 and includes all materials, supplies and instructon by in house instuctor and co-owner Karyn Lambert.

Have you heard of ATC’s, aka, Artist Trading Cards? They are mini works of art (think baseball card size) created and then kept or traded by the artist. There is a world-wide community out there trading their ATC’s via mail and in person ATC Meets!

In this workshop students will create at least 10 ATC’s by experimenting with mixed media art making techniques and materials.

Students will learn:

The understanding of space, emphasis and balance in their art,

How to use multiple media in one work of art

Consider what is means to trade their work

How to create a successful work of art on a small scale

How to explore different ideas and create multiple works of art

Experiment with a variety of materials

How to find others in the ATC community and learn ways to trade

Participate in a personal critique of completed artist trading cards (optional)

Participate in a trading cards via postal service and at an in person meet with classmates and (possibly) others in the community Saturday June 24th 10am-1pm (optional but highly recommended- family welcome!)
